I’m a Chartered Financial Planner by profession. I progressed during my career to being one of the owner-managers of a chartered planning practice in York, as well as sitting on the board of CTL3, who owned a number of advice businesses in Yorkshire and Humberside. As well as advising clients, I also sat on the investment committee, and helped with sourcing and integrating acquisition opportunities.
Present
I am the Managing Director of The Exit Partnership. I have a passion for demystifying the acquisition landscape, helping people become value makers rather than value takers, and providing sellers with the support that is desperately lacking. My knowledge of acquisitions, as well as an understanding of running a directly regulated business, means that I truly understand the businesses I am working with, and can help them to showcase themselves in the best light. Having two propositions means we can work for the seller exclusively, providing the support lacking from the broker space.
Future
I have established a growing team with real-world experience, and will continue in this model so standards don’t slip. Protecting and enhancing the profession and becoming that go-to firm for those looking for the right exit are our key objectives. With the wide range of options available to sellers, and a truly bias-free approach, we can’t wait to support more business owners looking for the right exit for them, their staff and their clients.
